Sar Pass - Himalayas

I had been wanting to do a Himalayan trek for a long time, but somehow it just never came together. Plans slipped, time passed. And then, almost unexpectedly, a friend was heading to Himachal and invited me along—and suddenly, I was there.

For three days, I walked through ridges and forests, moving slowly, breathing thin air, letting the noise of everything else fall away. The next two days blurred into long hours of awe—6000-metre peaks rising all around, massive and still. There was barely any sleep, but so much presence. My body was tired, my mind wide awake.

Up there, I felt completely alive. In my element. This was something I had wanted deeply at that moment—without even realising how badly I needed it. Sar Pass wasn’t just a trek; it was a reset. A reminder of why I seek these places, and how the mountains have a way of giving you exactly what you’re missing.
